3.2 Service Areas

We primarily serve Glasgow and Central Scotland. Service availability outside these areas is at our discretion and may incur additional travel charges. Please contact us to confirm service availability for your location.

3.3 Emergency Services

We offer 24/7 emergency electrical services subject to availability. Emergency callouts are charged at premium rates as specified in our quotes. We prioritize genuine emergencies that pose safety risks.

4. Quotes and Pricing

4.1 Quotations

All quotes provided are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Quotes are based on the information provided by you and may be subject to change if the scope of work differs from the original description.

4.2 Site Surveys

For larger projects or complex installations, we may require a site survey before providing a final quote. Site surveys may be chargeable, but this fee will be deducted from the final invoice if you proceed with the work.

4.3 Additional Work

If additional work is required beyond the original quote (e.g., due to unforeseen circumstances or changes to the scope), we will discuss this with you and obtain your approval before proceeding.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to adjust prices to reflect changes in material costs, regulations, or other factors beyond our control. You will be notified of any price changes before work commences.

5. Payments

5.1 Payment Terms

Payment terms are as specified in your quote or invoice:

• Domestic work: Payment due on completion unless otherwise agreed
• Commercial work: 50% deposit required, balance due on completion
• Large projects: Staged payments as agreed in writing

5.2 Accepted Payment Methods

We accept payment by bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash. Cheques are accepted by prior arrangement only.

5.3 Late Payments

Interest may be charged on overdue invoices at the rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5.4 Retention of Title

All materials and equipment remain our property until full payment has been received.

6. Cancellations and Postponements

6.1 By the Customer

You may cancel or postpone work by giving us reasonable notice:

• More than 48 hours notice: No charge
• 24-48 hours notice: 25% of quoted price
• Less than 24 hours notice: 50% of quoted price

6.2 By PAC Marketing Limited

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone work due to unforeseen circumstances, safety concerns, or force majeure events. In such cases, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer alternative arrangements.

7. Warranty and Guarantees

7.1 Workmanship Warranty

We provide a 12-month warranty on all workmanship from the date of completion. This covers defects arising from our installation work.

7.2 Manufacturer Warranties

Materials and equipment are covered by manufacturer warranties, which vary by product. We will provide warranty information for all installed items.

7.3 Warranty Exclusions

Our warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third-party interference
• Normal wear and tear
• Issues arising from pre-existing conditions not disclosed to us
• Work carried out by others after our completion

7.4 NICEIC Insurance Backed Warranty

As NICEIC registered contractors, our domestic installations are covered by the NICEIC Insurance Backed Warranty scheme, providing additional protection for homeowners.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 General Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PAC Marketing Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or website.

8.2 Liability Cap

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific services giving rise to the claim, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

8.3 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations where such failure is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, or government restrictions.

9. Safety Requirements

9.1 Access and Safety

You must ensure safe access to the work area and inform us of any known hazards. We reserve the right to refuse work if we deem conditions unsafe.

9.2 Electrical Isolation

We require electrical isolation to carry out work safely. You may need to arrange temporary power arrangements during major works.

9.3 Building Regulations

Certain electrical work requires notification to local building control or must be completed by a registered competent person. We will advise you of any such requirements and ensure compliance.

9.4 Asbestos and Hazardous Materials

You must inform us of the presence of any asbestos or other hazardous materials. We are not licensed to work with asbestos and will stop work immediately if such materials are discovered.

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of PAC Marketing Limited or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may be entitled to refer the matter to the NICEIC complaints procedure or an alternative dispute resolution service.
